Our Office History

The Windermere Ballard office opened in April of 1984. We were the 12th office in the Windermere family and we have grown from 12 sales associates to 77.

Our Managing Broker, Loretta Larson, first became licensed in 1973. She became a Branch Manager in 1975 and has continued her career in this capacity. She joined Windermere in 1983.

Windermere has become the leading residential real estate brokerage in the Seattle community. We take pride not only in the quality of service we provide for our clients, but also in our community service projects in which Windermere participates. On every transaction each agent contributes a portion of his commission to the Windermere Foundation. As an advocate for the homeless, the Foundation's primary function is to do what Windermere does best, help find homes for people who need them.  We are citizen-agents and a central part of the fabric of our community.  We believe that we are creating vibrant, liveable and humane communities.
